Keeshea Turner Roberts is an Assistant Professor of Law at Delaware Law School (Widener University), specializing in Family Law, Civil Procedure, and Poverty Law. She holds a B.A. in History from Hollins University (1996) and a J.D. from Catholic University of America (2002). Her career includes legal advocacy for indigent D.C. residents, judicial clerkships, and leadership roles at Rising for Justice (RFJ), where she co-founded the Civil Protection Order Project (CPOP).
Her research focuses on civil courts' role in structural inequality, legal design innovation, and DEI in legal education. Notable contributions include empirical studies on access to justice and anti-racism initiatives in law schools. She has testified on housing policy, pro bono representation, and anti-discrimination acts before the D.C. Council. Roberts is admitted to practice in D.C. and actively contributes to legal scholarship through SSRN, Google Scholar, and peer-reviewed publications.
