Keely Brooke Bowers is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds affiliations with the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences and has taught at multiple institutions, including Carlow University and Community College of Allegheny County. Her roles include Writing Consultant in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and the Writing Center, where she assists students across disciplines—from literary analysis to engineering lab reports.
Her research interests focus on creative writing, interdisciplinary connections, and the generative power of language. She emphasizes collage, juxtaposition, and bridging disparate topics through writing. Her work appears in journals like Dickinson Review and Crazyhorse.
Awards include the Nelson Algren Award for Fiction and recognition as a finalist for the New Rivers Press Writing Award. Bowers actively advises and mentors students, fostering their growth in writing across genres and academic fields.
