Katy Campbell is a Professor in the Department of Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Arts. She holds a PhD (1994) in Instructional Studies from the same institution. Her research focuses on feminist narrative inquiry, autoethnography, and instructional design metaphors, exploring identity transformation and university-community engagement. Previously serving as Dean Emeritus of the Faculty of Extension (2009-2019), she has held roles at SUNY Geneseo and Keewatin Community College. She currently teaches courses like WGS 102 (Gender and Social Justice) and supervises graduate students in Communications and Technology.
Education: PhD (1994) in Instructional Studies from University of Alberta; MEd and BEd from the same institution.

- Gender and technology intersections
Teaching and Advising: Supervised dozens of graduate students across institutions, including international programs. Currently teaches graduate-level courses on gender and technology, and collaborates with Dr. David Peacock on engagement studies.
Labs/Teams: Co-leads the Institutionalizing University-Community Engagement project examining engaged scholarship in higher education globally.
