Dr. Katrina “Miki” McCann is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Belhaven University since 2025. She specializes in educational leadership, teacher preparation, and research-based instructional practices, with a focus on early literacy, data-driven instruction, and faith-informed leadership. She is licensed as a School Administrator in Mississippi and actively participates in professional organizations.

- B.S., Elementary Education – Delta State University
Her research interests include instructional leadership, improvement planning, teacher development and mentoring, early childhood education, and faith-integrated leadership models. These align with her teaching focus on educational leadership administration, early literacy instruction, and classroom management strategies.

Dr. McCann mentors teacher candidates and contributes to curriculum development. Her community involvement includes the Vicksburg Junior Auxiliary and Kiwanis Club.
