Katrina Luisa Kontaxis

Dr. Katrina Luisa Kontaxis is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Stomatology, Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Montreal. She practices oral and maxillofacial surgery in private practice and is affiliated with MonARC (Montreal Aerosol Research Collaboration), collaborating with Polytechnique Montréal and healthcare professionals from CHU Ste-Justine. Her expertise spans dentoalveolar surgery, implantology, oral pathology, and dental education, with research interests in bioaerosols and infectious disease transmission, craniofacial growth, AI applications in dentistry, and healthcare equity.

Education: DMD from University of Montreal (2012), residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital. Awards include the Aldis-Bernard Award and Fellow status at the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
