Associate Professor Katrina Jaworski is a social philosopher affiliated with UniSA Creative at the University of South Australia. Her research bridges cultural studies, continental philosophy, gender studies, and sociology, with a focus on suicide agency, the philosophy of death, and queer theory. She has collaborated internationally and edited volumes such as Reframing Suicide (2024) and Madness in Plural Contexts (2020). Her work addresses intersections of gender, ethics, and non-human agency in suicide studies, using interdisciplinary methods like film analysis and critical suicidology. She teaches cultural studies, emphasizing its philosophical applications, and has supervised research degrees in areas like cultural politics and qualitative methodologies.
