Katrin Vorkamp is a Professor at Aarhus University, affiliated with the Department of Environmental Science (Environmental Chemistry & Toxicology) and the Arctic Research Centre in Roskilde, Denmark. She holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Bayreuth (2000), focusing on pesticide stability and partitioning in green waste.
Her research focuses on organic pollutants in the environment, particularly in Arctic ecosystems, human exposure pathways, and advanced analytical methods for environmental and human samples. Key projects include AMAP Core 2025-2027 (Arctic biota contaminant monitoring) and ArcSolution (Arctic Pollution via a One Health framework).
She leads initiatives such as InChildHealth (indoor air quality impacts on children) and NAMMINE (non-target analysis of Nordic marine mammals). Her work bridges environmental chemistry, toxicology, and policy, addressing emerging contaminants and climate change impacts.
