معرفی
Prof. Dr. Katja Böhme is a Professor at the Institute for Art and Art History at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Her work bridges art didactics, aesthetic education, and visual culture, emphasizing reflective practices and interdisciplinary approaches to teacher training.
Research Interests include the role of photographic images in pedagogical reflection, ambiguity in art didactics, and the interplay between space, perception, and Bildung. She explores how uncertainty and non-linguistic methodologies can transform art education and teacher training.
Publications focus on visual education, aesthetic perception, and the didactic potential of indeterminacy. Her 2022 monograph Bilder – Blicke – Reflexion examines photographic reflection as a tool for teacher training, while collaborative works address spatial theory, sculptural mediation, and experimental drawing.
Projects include the DFG-funded Visuelle Bildung (2022–2025), analyzing visual Bildung through perception and reflection. She co-organizes international colloquia on art education and has led workshops on public art, materiality, and cinematic practices in teaching.
Academic Roles span postdoctoral research at the University of Hamburg, guest lectures at the Berlin University of the Arts, and a PhD in Philosophy (Summa cum Laude) from the Kunstakademie Münster. She collaborates with networks like the Wissenschaftliche Sozietät Kunst Medien Bildung and DGfE.
