Dr. Katie Kelting is an Associate Professor at Saint Louis University's Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business, Department of Marketing. She holds a PhD in Marketing from Indiana University, with research focusing on consumer psychology, private label branding, and prosocial behavior.
Her experimental research examines consumer decision-making processes with specific interests in charitable giving mechanisms, retail environment design, and brand imitation effects. Recent work analyzes digital retail strategies including delivery incentives and geographic signaling in e-commerce. Her contributions have been recognized through multiple fellowships including the Women in the Marketing Academy Fellowship.
Dr. Kelting directs the Behavioral Research Lab and employs controlled experiments to investigate contextual influences on consumer behavior. Her methodological approaches include field experiments, scenario-based studies, and behavioral measurement techniques to understand consumer responses to marketing stimuli.
