Katia Barbaresco is a researcher at the Department of Humanities of Ca' Foscari University of Venice, specializing in archaic, Hellenistic, and imperial Greek epics. She earned her PhD in Greek Literature from Ca' Foscari, focusing on the death of Achilles in Quintus Smyrnaeus's Posthomerica, with research stints at the University of Reading (2017) and King's College London (2019–2020).
- Research Interests: Epic diction, representation of deities in epics, and the persis (destruction) of Troy.
- Projects: Co-editor of the volume Il grido di Andromaca. Voci di donne contro la guerra (2022), and active member of the Aletheia research group and the Classici Contro project.
