Carlo Franco

Carlo Franco is a Lecturer in the Department of Humanities at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Holding a PhD in Prehistoric Archaeology (2009), his research focuses on the Mesolithic period in Italy and transnational archaeological contexts. He has conducted fieldwork across the Italian Karst, Venetian Prealps, Calabria, Poland, Greek Macedonia, Dolomites, and Pakistan.

His expertise includes lithic industry analysis, settlement patterns of Late Mesolithic communities, and cross-regional comparisons of prehistoric cultures. Franco has presented research at international conferences, including the 2014 'MesoLife' event on Alpine Mesolithic perspectives.
