Eugenia Liosatou is a Lecturer in Modern Greek at the Department of Humanities, Ca' Foscari University of Venice (2022-2025, 2015-2018). She has also taught at the University of Padua (2009-2010) and the University of Naples L'Orientale (2016-2018, 2022-present). Her research focuses on Modern Greek language evolution, lexicography, and historical-literary connections between Venice and Greek territories during Venetian domination. She coordinates the Examination Center for Modern Greek Language Certification in collaboration with Thessaloniki's KEG and serves as a representative for contract professors on the Department of Humanities Council.
- Education: Ph.D. in Modern Languages, Cultures and Societies (Modern Greek) from Ca' Foscari University of Venice; Master's in Medieval History from Ca' Foscari; Diploma in TFA for teaching Modern Greek in Italian schools; BA in Literature from the University of Crete (2002).

- Evolution from Ancient to Modern Greek
- Modern Greek lexicography
- Venetian-Greek historical-literary ties
- Modern Greek literature (18th-20th centuries)
She supervises undergraduate and graduate theses on Modern Greek language, literature, translation, and Heptanesian music. Professional activities include editorial work on Modern Greek dictionaries and participation in the Antica Messene project.
