Kathy Wen

Kathy Wen, a DPhil candidate at the University of Oxford's Department of Engineering Science, holds a First Class BEng(Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of New South Wales. She practiced as a geotechnical engineer in Sydney for two years before joining Oxford in 2019 under the WAMESS CDT program.

Research Interests: Kathy's work focuses on geotechnical engineering, particularly small-strain stiffness parameters and offshore wind energy foundations. Her research utilizes advanced laboratory techniques to study soil behavior under cyclic loading, with applications in offshore infrastructure resilience.
