معرفی
Kathryn Reardon-Smith is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) in the School of Agriculture and Environmental Science. She works with industry and government agencies (MLA/MDC; QDAF) to develop climate-risk decision-making tools for agricultural systems. Her research spans sustainable landscape management, soil/water resource analysis, and systems modeling for climate adaptation in cropping and livestock systems.
Research Interests:
- Agro-ecosystems
- Floodplain woodland ecosystems
- Natural resource policy
- Climate risk management
Professional Memberships:
- Ecological Society of Australia
- Australian Floodplain Association
- Australian Freshwater Science Society
- Wildlife Queensland
Research Affiliations:
- Centre for Applied Climate Sciences
- Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Systems
- Institute for Life Sciences and the Environment
Publication Trends: Her recent work focuses on climate-adaptive agricultural models (2023-2025), water resource allocation frameworks (2024-2025), soil carbon/nitrogen dynamics in African smallholder systems (2024), and predictive ecological modeling using spatial analysis tools (2023). Key methodologies include systems dynamics, Bayesian modeling, and stakeholder-driven model co-design.
