معرفی
Dr. Jackie Webb is a Lecturer in Environmental Science at the University of Southern Queensland's School of Agriculture and Environmental Science. She holds a BEnvSc and PhD from Southern Cross University, with expertise spanning hydrology, greenhouse gas emissions, and aquatic biogeochemistry. Previously, she held research positions at Deakin University, University of Regina, and Charles Sturt University.
Her research focuses on carbon and nutrient cycling in agricultural landscapes, with emphasis on:
- Greenhouse gas dynamics in water systems (farm dams, canals)
- Hydrological connectivity between terrestrial/aquatic ecosystems
- Agricultural impacts on carbon budgets
- Climate-smart water management strategies
Webb's publications demonstrate consistent focus on agricultural hydrology and carbon fluxes, with recent work expanding to global analyses of inland water emissions. Her 40+ articles predominantly investigate CO₂/CH₄/N₂O dynamics in engineered water systems, using field measurements and modeling to quantify climate impacts.
Professional recognitions include selection for the 2023 Biogeochemistry Board of Reviewers and participation in AgriFutures Australia's Carbon Neutral Agriculture workshop. She maintains memberships with the Australian Society for Freshwater Science.
Webb leads courses including Conservation for Sustainable Futures, Catchment and Water Resource Management, and Soil and Water Engineering Practice. She collaborates with the Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Systems and Centre for Agricultural Engineering at UniSQ.
