Kathryn Foti

Kathryn Foti is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham's School of Public Health. Her research focuses on hypertension prevention, cardiovascular disease epidemiology, and eliminating health disparities globally. She holds additional roles as Associate Scientist at the UAB Center for Study of Community Health and the Center for Outcomes and Effectiveness Research.

Prior to academia, Dr. Foti spent eight years at the CDC, including five as Special Assistant to the CDC Director where she helped launch the Million Hearts initiative.
