Kathryn E. Hamm is an Assistant Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Lynn University. She also serves as Assistant Director of Forensics and Assistant Coach of the Debate Team. Her interdisciplinary research spans philosophical practice, biblical literalism, American studies, and disability studies. She holds a B.A. in Religion from Hillsdale College, with study abroad at the University of Oxford, and an M.A. in American Studies from Purdue University.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes universal design for accessibility, ensuring inclusive education for diverse learners. She previously worked as a technical editor at Purdue University, focusing on disability studies and family studies research. Her recent work explores Socratic methods, semiotics, and the intersection of religion and philosophy.
Publications include Religious Figures as Philosophers (2024) and contributions to debates on forensic strategies and meme-based communication. Her team, the Lynn Debate Team, recently won the Divisional State Championship in 2025.
