Kathron Sturrock is a Professor of Piano and Collaborative Piano at the Royal College of Music (RCM) in London, where she has been since 2003. She is a founding member and Artistic Director of the chamber ensemble The Fibonacci Sequence, renowned for its 24-year international presence. Her career highlights include winning the Sofia International Opera Competition's Best Pianist award twice, collaborating with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf in masterclasses, and performing with orchestras like the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. She has recorded extensively for labels such as Hyperion, Chandos, and Deutz-Elles.
Her research and performance interests center on chamber music, collaborative piano, and classical repertoire, with a focus on composers like Schubert and Mozart.
