Kathleen Williams

Kathleen Williams is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and is ANCC Board Certified in informatics nursing. Her professional expertise spans informatics, leadership, research, ethics, health policy, and community/public health.

• Education: Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania; Post-MSN in nursing informatics from Duke University; PhD candidate in Nursing Education at Villanova University

Research interests focus on the impact of electronic immunization records on pediatric immunization status. Her work intersects healthcare informatics, community health, and health policy, informed by presentations at local to international levels and publications in nursing and home health domains.

• Former chapter board member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing

A veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve (Nurse Corps), Williams brings military nursing experience in medical-surgical and community health specialties to her academic role.
