Kathleen Vermeeren is an Adjunct Professor of French in the Department of World Languages at Rowan University's College of Humanities & Social Sciences. She holds a Master of Arts in French from West Chester University and a Bachelor's degree from Rowan University, including a semester abroad in Dijon, France. Previously, she taught French at St. Augustine Preparatory, Timber Creek, and Clearview high schools.
Her academic achievements include a Fulbright Scholarship for studies in Guadeloupe and a National Endowment for the Humanities grant for research in Aix-en-Provence. Her teaching focuses on French language instruction and cultural immersion, leveraging her diverse educational and professional experiences.
Kathleen’s research interests span Francophone culture, pedagogical strategies in language education, and cross-cultural communication. She actively incorporates global perspectives into her curriculum, reflecting her commitment to experiential learning and international collaboration.
