Kathleen Ryan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at DeSales University's College of Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. and MS in mathematics from Lehigh University and a BS in mathematics and computer science from St. Joseph's University. Prior to academia, she worked as a software engineer at Lockheed Martin Corporation for four years.

Dr. Ryan specializes in graph theory and combinatorics, emphasizing undergraduate research engagement. She secured a $20,000 grant from the Center for Undergraduate Research in Mathematics (CURM) to mentor four students in analyzing degree sequences of special graph families, culminating in a presentation in Des Moines, Iowa.
She actively advises the Math Club, organizing educational trips to Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, and NYC, and developing an interactive Escape Room experience for students. Her office (222-C Dooling Hall) is open for informal discussions on mathematics.
