Dr. Kathleen Marie Sheehan is an Associate Professor of Economics and Scholar in the Menard Center for Economic Inquiry at Creighton University’s Heider College of Business. She holds a PhD in Economics from West Virginia University, with prior degrees from Capital University. Her research focuses on Institutional Economics, Public Economics, and Development Economics, examining economic freedom, property rights, and market access’s role in development and human flourishing. She has presented at international conferences and published in journals like Contemporary Economic Policy and European Journal of Political Economy.
Dr. Sheehan teaches Microeconomics, Comparative Economics, and Sports Economics courses. She advises undergraduate research projects and leads the Creighton Baseball Analytics Team.
