Susan Skeath is a Professor of Economics and Acting Director of the Quantitative Reasoning Program at Wellesley College. She teaches microeconomic theory at intermediate and advanced levels, as well as a course on game theory, which became an Ann E. Maurer Public Speaking Intensive course in fall 2018.
- Education: B.A. from Haverford College, M.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton University.
Her research focuses on applied game theory and experimental economics, including studies on strategic soccer penalty shoot-outs, the p-beauty game, and public goods contribution dynamics. Earlier work centered on international trade and strategic trade theory, with analyses of global antidumping behavior. She has co-authored the textbook Games of Strategy, now in its 5th edition (2019).
Personal interests include sports (baseball, soccer), travel, and her family. She is married with two children and enjoys visiting New Zealand, her husband's home country.
