معرفی
Kathleen Grogan is an Assistant Professor in Anthropology and Biological Sciences at the University of Cincinnati. She holds a PhD in Ecology & Genetics from Duke University (2014) and a BS in Ecology, Evolution, & Organismal Behavior from Vanderbilt University (2008). Prior to her current role, she completed postdoctoral fellowships at Emory University (2014–2017) and Pennsylvania State University (2017–2020).
Her research focuses on genomic variation and fitness across environmental gradients, particularly in primates like ring-tailed lemurs and Ugandan hunter-gatherers. She also advocates for STEM diversity and science education. Her lab at UC, the Grogan Lab, investigates epigenetic impacts of environmental change, supported by grants like the Leakey Foundation award (2024–2026).
Dr. Grogan has been awarded the NIH IRACDA Postdoctoral Fellowship and an NRSA Fellowship, reflecting her commitment to both research and teaching. She mentors students and collaborates internationally, emphasizing conservation and community-driven science. Her work bridges evolutionary biology, genomics, and policy, with over 20 peer-reviewed publications in journals like Nature Ecology & Evolution and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
