Professor Kathleen Fallon is a faculty member in the Department of Sociology at Stony Brook University, specializing in political sociology, gender studies, and international development with a regional focus on sub-Saharan Africa. She holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University (2002) and has conducted extensive field research in Ghana, examining democratization’s impact on women’s rights and activism.
Her research explores women’s social movements, political representation, and health outcomes in developing nations.
