Kathleen F. McCoy

Kathleen F. McCoy is Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Delaware. She serves as a Consultant for the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) under the Administration for Community Living at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Her research focuses on human language technology with applications in accessibility. She directs the Human Language Technology Laboratory ('The Tea House') and has developed corpora including human-written summaries of line graphs. Her work bridges computer science and rehabilitation engineering to create assistive technologies.
