Katherine Scharfenberg is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Loyola University Chicago, affiliated with the Crown Center for the Humanities. She teaches core literature and writing courses, integrating her professional background in marketing and communication. Her research focuses on American Literature, Native American and Indigenous Studies, and pedagogical strategies in technical writing. She holds a BA from the University of Chicago, an MA from Freie Universität Berlin, and a PhD from Northwestern University.
