Katherine Rogers is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing & Midwifery at The University of Manchester, co-leading the Social Research with Deaf People (SORD) group. She holds a PhD in Nursing (2013), MRes in Psychology (2008), and BSc in Psychology (2004). Her work focuses on improving mental health outcomes and healthcare access for Deaf communities through translational research and methodological innovation.

Research Interests: Deaf mental well-being, sign language accessibility in healthcare, and psychometric instrument validation for Deaf populations. She has pioneered translations of mental health assessments (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7) into British Sign Language (BSL) and led studies on telemedicine interventions for Deaf patients with anxiety/depression.
