Libby Barnardo is a Course Tutor in the Academic Team at the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training and Research (OxICPTR), joining in June 2022. She has over two decades of experience in NHS mental health services, starting in 2000 at the Deaf children’s inpatient unit at Springfield Hospital, London. After qualifying with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) at University College London (UCL) in 2005, she worked in a medium-secure hospital and later became the lead for the psychology and psychotherapies team at National Deaf Services, supporting Deaf and Deafblind adults in community and specialist BSL inpatient settings.

Research Interests: Libby specializes in clinical psychology interventions tailored for Deaf and Deafblind populations, emphasizing accessibility and the integration of British Sign Language (BSL) in therapeutic environments.
