Katherine Pancak

Katherine Pancak is a Professor In-Residence of Finance and Real Estate at the University of Connecticut's School of Business, Stamford Campus. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and real estate, both in-person and online, while actively conducting research on real estate law and policy.

Her research focuses on real estate law, taxation, and economic policy, with publications in journals such as Real Estate Economics, Journal of Real Estate Research, and Journal of Law, Economics, and Policy. She has explored topics like FIRPTA reform, mortgage compensation, and Connecticut real estate licensing frameworks.

Recent publications include analyses of foreign investment taxation, housing market dynamics, and eminent domain applications in mortgage crises. These works span subfields like real estate brokerage laws, price-rent ratios, and legal economic interventions.
