Dr. Geoffrey K. Turnbull is Professor and Jim Heistand-NAIOP Eminent Scholar Chair in Real Estate at UCF's College of Business. A Fellow of the Weimer School of Advanced Studies, he previously held positions at Georgia State University and LSU. His research examines housing markets, real estate brokerage, property rights, and urban land regulation.
Research integrates economic theory with empirical analysis of taxation impacts, neighborhood effects, and market microstructure. Recent publications explore pandemic-era housing dynamics, foreclosure legacies, and demographic influences on urban development. Editorial roles include the Journal of Urban Economics and Journal of Housing Research.
