Katherine P. Theall is a Professor at Tulane University's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, holding the Cecile Usdin Professorship in Women's Health. She serves as Co-Director of the Mary Amelia Center for Women's Health Equity Research, Senior Director of the Violence Prevention Institute, and Director of the Tulane Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health.

As a social epidemiologist, her work focuses on reducing health inequities through neighborhood environment modifications, social policy interventions, and community-partnered research. Her recent publications demonstrate expertise in spatial epidemiology, trauma-informed interventions, and social determinants of health. Funded by NIH, CDC, HRSA, and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, she leads cluster randomized trials testing neighborhood beautification effects on violence prevention.
