Sara Stein

Sara Stein, PhD, is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan School of Public Health in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Equity. Her work focuses on intergenerational trauma transmission, particularly how maternal trauma impacts child development prenatally and postnatally. Using both clinical and research methodologies, she develops trauma-informed interventions for structurally disadvantaged women.
