Dr. Katherine M. Brown serves as a Professional Associate Professor of Criminal Justice in the School of Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Public Administration at Tarleton State University, teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses. She additionally holds a Faculty Affiliate position with Tarleton's Institute on Violence Against Women and Human Trafficking.

- Master of Arts in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Sam Houston State University
- Doctor of Philosophy in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University
