Professor Katharine Jones is a leading academic in migration studies at Coventry University, holding roles as Professor of Migration and Social Justice at the Research Centre for Peace and Security and Co-Director of the UKRI GCRF MIDEQ Hub. She specializes in global inequalities, labour migration, and migration intermediaries. Educated at the Universities of Newcastle and Manchester, her career spans over 16 years across government, NGOs, and international organizations. Her research focuses on migration industries' impact on migrant rights, particularly in South/Southeast Asia, Europe, and Africa. She collaborates with institutions like the ILO and Scottish Refugee Council to ensure applied, rights-based research.

Research interests include migration intermediaries, refugee rights, and the ethical dimensions of labour recruitment.
