Katharina Martin is a researcher at the University of Münster's Institute of Classical Archaeology and Christian Archaeology, specializing in ancient numismatics. She serves as Curator of the Coin Collection (50%) since June 2021 and has held additional research roles at institutions like the Coin Cabinet of the National Museums in Berlin (2024–2025) and TU Braunschweig (2023–2024). Her academic career includes coordinating the BMBF-funded NUMiD network (2017–2021) and extensive research at the Cluster of Excellence 'Religion and Politics' (2008–2021). She holds a Dr. phil. (2007) and MA (2000) from the University of Münster, focusing on numismatic studies of Asia Minor and coin depictions of Demeter and Kore.
Her research priorities include Roman provincial coinage, collection history, provenance studies, and digital object cataloging (e.g., IKMK Münster, numid-online).
