Katharina Hauck

Dr. Katharina Hauck is an Associate Professor (Reader) in Health Economics at Imperial College London's School of Public Health, part of the Faculty of Medicine. She serves as Deputy Director of J-IDEA, where she oversees administrative, communications, and strategic initiatives alongside her research. Her work focuses on the economics of infectious diseases, with a strong emphasis on HIV, malaria, and pandemic preparedness. She has contributed to understanding the societal and economic impacts of public health interventions, including universal testing and treatment programs in sub-Saharan Africa, pandemic modeling, and vaccine allocation strategies. Her research spans epidemiological modeling, cost-effectiveness analysis, and policy evaluation, addressing global health challenges in low- and middle-income settings.
