Katerina Gottardo is a PhD candidate and researcher affiliated with Durham University's Department of Classics and Ancient History. Her work focuses on Roman Archaeology, particularly hydraulic installations in theatres and architectural techniques. She holds a BA and MA in Archaeology from the University of Padova and is supervised by Dr. Edmund Thomas (Durham), Dr. Erica Bexley (Durham), Prof. Ian Haynes (Newcastle), and Dr. Davide Motta (UCL). Her doctoral research, funded by AHRC via Northern Bridge, examines aquatic performances in Roman theatres at Ostia and Pompeii.
