Kate Ward is Associate Professor of Theological Ethics at Marquette University. Her research focuses on economic ethics, virtue ethics, and Catholic social thought, particularly examining wealth, poverty, and inequality through Christian ethical frameworks. She holds a PhD from Boston College and previously worked with AFSCME Council 31 organizing workers in Catholic healthcare settings.
Dr. Ward teaches courses including Christian Ethics, Economic Ethics, and Virtue Ethics. Her publications include 'Wealth, Virtue and Moral Luck: Christian Ethics in an Age of Inequality' (Georgetown, 2021) and articles in journals such as Theological Studies and Journal of Religious Ethics.
She serves on editorial boards for Journal of Moral Theology, Journal of Catholic Social Thought, and Asian Horizons. Her current office hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30-12:00.
