معرفی
Dr Kate Ruth is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Exeter Medical School, affiliated with the Reproductive Genomics team and the Genetics of Complex Traits Group. Her research focuses on statistical genetics and genetic epidemiology, particularly investigating the genetic basis of reproductive ageing, fertility, and hormone-related health outcomes.
- PhD in Genetic and Non-Genetic Factors Contributing to Female Reproductive Ageing (University of Exeter, 2016)
- Diploma in Statistics (Open University, 2009)
- Certificate of Continuing Education in Statistics (Birkbeck College, University of London, 2003)
- MBiochem in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry (Oxford University, 2000)
Dr Ruth's work has been central to the international ReproGen consortium, yielding insights on reproductive genetics published in Nature and Nature Genetics. She applies genetic epidemiology to large-scale population data to explore biological mechanisms of menopause timing and hormone-health relationships.
Her research intersects genetics, bioinformatics, and reproductive medicine, with methodologies rooted in statistical analysis. Prior to her PhD, she analyzed NHS cancer and health data at the South West Public Health Observatory for six years.
