Kate Meeson is a Research Associate at the University of Manchester's Division of Evolution, Infection and Genomics. Her work focuses on constraint-based metabolic modelling to optimize Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell systems for monoclonal antibody production, funded by the FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies Prosperity Partnership collaboration. She holds a PhD from the University of Manchester (2024), an MRes in Biomedical Science from the University of Liverpool (2020), and a BSc in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham (2019).
Her research interests include metabolic pathway analysis, CRISPR/Cas9 applications, fatty acid synthesis regulation, and drug resistance mechanisms. Her recent work spans biomanufacturing optimization, ovarian cancer metabolic modelling, and multi-omics integration. She has presented at international conferences including the International Study Group for Systems Biology and the EIGEN-PGR Summer event.
