Dr. Kate MacLeod is an Associate Professor of Inclusive Special Education at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF). She leads the Inclusive Education and Leadership track in the M.S.Ed. special education program and teaches in undergraduate and graduate special education programs. Her work bridges classroom practice, research, and policy advocacy, with a focus on supporting educators and families to create inclusive learning environments.

Dr. MacLeod’s career began as a dual-certified high school special educator and English teacher in New York City. She currently advises educators and policymakers on inclusive practices and collaborates with communities to address barriers to educational equity.
