Kate Elmendorf

Kate Elmendorf is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Voice (CCM) at Shenandoah University's Conservatory. She teaches elementary music and choral education while maintaining an active performance career in musical theatre, with credits including Natalie in Next to Normal and Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof! Her pedagogical approach integrates classroom instruction with performance practice.

Research and teaching focus on:

• Contemporary vocal techniques for musical theatre
• Choral direction for youth ensembles
• A cappella ensemble coaching

As president of Berklee College's Upper Structure a cappella group, she led award-winning performances at national festivals including BOSS and VoiceJam.
