Dr. Kate Croaker is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Psychology, University of Wollongong, and a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist with over a decade of hospital experience. She is a registered psychologist endorsed in Clinical Neuropsychology and serves as secretary for the NSW branch of the Australian Psychological Society's College of Clinical Neuropsychology. At UOW since 2015, she teaches neuropsychology and coordinates clinical supervision for Master's students in Northfield's Psychology Clinic.
Her research centers on clinical neuropsychology with emphasis on neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders. She pioneers user-friendly cognitive assessment methods that leverage neurodivergent strengths and investigates how cognitive weaknesses impact chronic conditions. Current projects include ISLHD-funded research on Functional Neurological Disorder and improving ADHD assessment protocols.
Her scientific recognition includes:
- Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society
Kate supervises Doctor of Philosophy candidates on ADHD assessment innovations and has mentored numerous Clinical Neuropsychology registrars. Her ISLHD Allied Health grant supports FND research while her clinic-integrated iPad testing modernizes student assessment training for contemporary practice readiness.
