Kate Conlon is a Teaching Professor at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University (SMFA), specializing in Print and Paper. She holds an MFA in Printmedia from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2014) and a BA in Studio Art from Smith College (2011).
Her research explores the intersection of art, cultural history, and materiality. Notable works include DL-44: In Pursuit of the Perfect Replica, a non-fiction book analyzing Star Wars prop replication, and installations like A Hole Hanging in the Air and South Pointing Chariot. She co-directs Limited Time Engagement Press and previously founded Fernwey Gallery.
Conlon has received grants from Kala Art Institute, ACRE, and the Chicago Artists Coalition. Her work has been exhibited at venues such as 68 Projects Berlin, MANA Contemporary Chicago, and the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
