Dr. Kate Anderson holds a Vice Chancellor's Senior Research Fellowship at RMIT University's School of Computing Technologies. Her research focuses on making AI and digital technologies accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities, emphasizing co-design and authentic consultation with disability communities. She has a clinical background as a speech pathologist specializing in cerebral palsy, neurodiversity, and AAC. Teaching roles include courses on IT ethics, responsible AI, and inclusive design. She chairs the AAC Sub-committee for the International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders and has led initiatives in digital health, disability inclusion, and Universal Design for Learning.
