Katarzyna Polonek

Katarzyna Polonek is a distinguished Professor at the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, specializing in Cello and Chamber Music within the Faculty of Instrumental Studies, Historical Performance Practice, Jazz and Popular Music. She is a globally recognized cellist, celebrated as a laureate of major international competitions and co-founder of the acclaimed Berlin Piano Trio.

Her research and artistic activity focuses on instrumental performance, historical performance practice, and chamber music. As a soloist and chamber musician, she has recorded for Polish, German, Swiss, Austrian, and Japanese radio/TV networks.

Katarzyna Polonek's awards include victories at the Haydn International Chamber Music Competition, Sommets Musicaux, and multiple cello competitions. She is a member of the Szymon Goldberg Foundation board and leads masterclasses at the International Music Course in Opole.
