- PhD in Ethnology, Lund University, 2001
- Visiting Scholar, School of Geography, University of Melbourne, 2018
Her research centers on the cultural dimensions of landscapes, particularly the intersections between urban and rural spaces, nature and culture, and the mobility of plants as heritage. She explores how gardens, pathways, and private green spaces reflect broader societal values and historical continuity. Her work often engages with sustainability, memory, and identity in the built and natural environment.
Recent publications highlight her focus on movement heritage, plant circulation, and heritage in motion, with a strong trend toward interdisciplinary collaboration and public engagement in sustainability and conservation. Her articles span journals in ethnology, geography, and environmental studies, emphasizing narrative, material culture, and everyday practices.
