Kasper Jansen is a Full Professor of European Tort Law at the Department of Law & Business within the Erasmus School of Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He specializes in the European dimensions of Dutch private law, particularly tort law, focusing on the public law influences from EU integration. His work examines how European legal frameworks both challenge and enrich Dutch civil law, as highlighted in his inaugural lecture *Stoomwals en wegbereider* (2022).
