Karyn Wang is a Senior Lecturer in Work and Organisational Studies at the University of Sydney Business School. She holds a PhD in Management and a Master's in Organisational Psychology from the University of New South Wales.
Research Interests: Focuses on interpersonal dynamics in workplaces, employee well-being, team outcomes, and healthcare workforce engagement. Utilizes a multidisciplinary approach blending management, organisational behavior, and psychology to study employee-customer interactions, team climate, and compassion-driven practices. Collaborates with healthcare organizations to address workforce needs and engagement challenges.
Publications: Recent work includes studies on compassionate care behaviors in healthcare (2024), social role-based affect regulation (2024), and customer mistreatment spillover effects (2022). Publications appear in Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Service Research.
